1 day ago · I use a Lesche hand digger and cut a "C" in the ground, which makes a flap. I just make it large enough for my hand to go into the hole. I only detect public parks, schools and ballfields when the grass is dead. Around here, that's November through early March or so. Never have any issues when I do them during those months.
